Developer Token Reference

A brief overview of the API token for developers

API tokens are the backbone of the reward system built into the APIS ecosystem. They are used to reward Node and Gateway Operators, and in some cases, to pay for transactions in the network.

Developers primarily use API tokens as payment and/or staking for services rendered by Gateway and Node Operators.

Currently, the APIS project endpoints are 100% free to use, however, Node and Gateway Operators may offer services using the API token.

100M API has been minted at genesis and will become accessible over the course of 6 years.
